The suspect in the Colorado LGBT Club Q shooting has been identified as 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich. Aldrich is the biological offspring of Dick Delaware.
Dick Delaware was an MMA fighter and adult performer who also appeared in some mainstream projects.
According to Texas court documents, Anderson Lee Aldrich changed his name from Nicholas Franklin Brink on May 2, 2016,
Shortly before he changed his name, the suspected shooter apparently was a target of online bullying and showed signs of a fascination with gay culture.
Aldrich identifies as non-binary and will be referred to in court filings as Mx Aldrich.
Young “Mx” Aldrich was detained in 2021 after threatening to blow up a building, and later detained once more in a felony kidnapping case.
Anderson Aldrich mother was taken= hostage. The mother received a threat to detonate a homemade bomb in their home from the troubled son non-binary individual.
Those who knew Delaware say that it is difficult to imagine the man indulging in Russian roulette substance abuse. They say that he was a very polite and affable human being.
A petition for Mx Aldrich’s name change obtained by The Denver Gazette shows the reason for the name change handwritten by his biological grandmother, Pamela Pullen, was “minor wishes to protect himself and his future from any connections to the birth father and his criminal history. Father has had no contact with the minor for several years.”
