Mia Khalifa, aged 30, who became an icon in the pornographic industry, said she regrets having starred in adult films.
The former porn actress addressed the issue in an interview with El Pais. As she explained, after taking legal action against the largest adult content platform on the internet and not succeeding, she gave up when she realized that "the fight would take decades."
"I tried once, but about three years ago, I stopped fighting for this cause when a law firm warned me that we wouldn't get anywhere, that the battle would take decades of my life, millions of dollars, and even then, there was no guarantee that I would win," she stated.
It's important to note that she willingly signed contracts for those videos.
Mia said she felt "sorry" for her past in the porn industry. "When they attack me on social media and use my photos in porn films, I don't recognize myself in that person. And I feel sorry for her, for where she was mentally and for how little I loved and respected myself, for how I tried to gain the approval of others."
I'm very afraid that my nudes will circulate on social media again, but lately, I've been feeling comfortable creating beautiful artistic things, and that has given me the confidence to show more."
Single, Mia Khalifa stated that she is monogamous. "I've had three long-term relationships in my life, all monogamous. Currently, I am single and enjoying it because I don't need to give up anything I like for the sake of any commitment"
