Former Missouri teacher Brianna Coppage, 28, resigned from St. Clair High School near St. Louis after administrators discovered her OnlyFans account. She made nearly $1 million on the platform, supplementing her $42,000 teacher's salary to pay off student loans from advanced degrees, including a master's and specialist degree in education. Coppage went on leave in September after school administrators learned about her OnlyFans account.
The decision to start her OnlyFans account was driven by a desire to supplement her income and alleviate the financial burden of student loans. Coppage, who was actively pursuing her third degree, explained, "I started it, one, to just supplement my income and kind of see what happens and possibly make extra money. Like, I have student loans. I was working on my third degree. So, I also have a master’s degree in education, and then I was working on my specialist degree." Despite the controversy and her resignation, Coppage's experience serves as a testament to the financial opportunities that online platforms like OnlyFans can provide.
“They specifically said they got a report from an adult in the Sullivan School District, and they asked, do I have any other income streams like outside of teaching? And I said, ‘Yes, I do have an OnlyFans.’ They asked how long I had been doing it if it was during my own time or … anything at school, which I told them.”
Brianna Coppage clarified that her work on OnlyFans remained entirely separate from her professional life at the school. Meanwhile, Kyle Kruse, the school district's superintendent, mentioned that administrators had received reports of inappropriate online content by an employee. Legal counsel is overseeing a comprehensive investigation, with any actions taken following board policy and legal guidance.
Despite the controversy, Coppage has achieved significant success on the platform, becoming one of its top creators and earning nearly $1 million since starting her account in the summer.
"I will also say that I have tens of thousands of fans now, and I have far exceeded my teacher salary for the year", she said. It's worth mentioning that some of her subscribers even include former students' parents.
