In the weeks leading up to her untimely death on November 28, 36-year-old adult star Sophie Anderson faced a harrowing ordeal of abuse and violence at the hands of her ex-partner, former soccer player Oliver Spedding, according to friends. Allegedly coerced into an erratic lifestyle in a campervan, Sophie was forced to continue her work as a adult performer against her will. Friends claim that Spedding physically and mentally abused her, including stabbing her, slamming her head against a wall, and preventing her from seeking medical help for her injuries.
The disturbing situation took an even darker turn as Spedding reportedly took control of Sophie's social media, impersonating her in messages to friends. In a shocking series of hoaxes in February and September 2023, Spedding even feigned Sophie's death and exploited the false news to solicit money from friends and fans. Despite friends reporting the abuse to the police in September, Spedding was arrested but released the same day. The case, involving allegations of assault, false imprisonment, and offensive messages, was subsequently closed with no further action from the police.
