Porn star Sophia Leone's death is being investigated as "suspicious," confirmed by police on Friday. Her body was found in her New Mexico apartment on March 1st, showing no visible signs of trauma, according to Albuquerque police speaking to TMZ.

While the cause of death remains unknown, it's treated as a "suspicious death," said a police spokesperson, although details weren't provided. Notably, police denied earlier claims by Leone's agency that the investigation involved robbery or homicide.

The police spokesperson emphasized the unique nature of the situation, stating, "We do not know at this time if she is a victim of a crime."

Albuquerque police spokesman Gilbert Gallegos Jr. explained to The Post that the uncertainty surrounding the case made it unique in terms of releasing the decedent's name before determining if she was a victim of violence.

The official cause of death is pending toxicology results. However, it's not clarified if her death might be drug-related.

Leone's agency, 101 Modeling, previously asserted her death was being investigated as robbery and homicide, a claim contradicted by police statements.

In her last Instagram post from September, Leone urged her followers to appreciate life more.

Leone, who began her adult film career in 2014, appeared in over 80 films. Her stepfather, Mike Romero, described her as a beloved family member who loved animals and traveling, in a GoFundMe fundraiser that has raised nearly $15,000.
