On the Adult Empire podcast, Conner described how her daughter Dylan Phoenix wanted to follow in her footsteps into the adult industry after her mother asked if pornography was something she would be interested in as a career. Conner grew up in a consertive religious community in the United States, She eventually distanced herself from her family in order to freely explore her sexuality.
